Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Manager - Oil & Gas to join our team at Catilas Resources Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the commercial aspects of our oil and gas operations, including contract negotiations, financial analysis, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the oil and gas sector.
  • Leverage industry connections to establish and maintain relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners.
  • Drive the expansion of the company’s market share by exploring new markets and services.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management:
    • Lead contract negotiations with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
    • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies in all commercial agreements.
    • Manage and oversee the execution of contracts, ensuring all obligations are met and risks are mitigated.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis:
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management on market conditions, pricing, and opportunities for growth.
    • Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Financial Management:
    • Work with the finance team to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to commercial activities.
    • Monitor and control costs associated with commercial operations, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
    • Evaluate and optimize the financial performance of commercial contracts and initiatives.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Lead and mentor the commercial team, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with other departments, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of commercial activities.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.

    Requirements

    • Qualifications:
      • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
      • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a commercial role within the oil and gas industry.
      • Proven track record of successfully negotiating and managing large-scale contracts.
      • Extensive network of industry contacts and a deep understanding of the oil and gas market.
      • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
      • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
