About the role:

We are seeking a C# .NET developer to join the London Tradeflow Development team. The Tradeflow Development team are responsible for building out the next generation of highly scalable, reusable and performant order entry services and applications for front office users. You will evaluate and use the latest .Net and open source technologies to deliver, maintain and enhance new and existing applications. You will work closely with execution desk and middle office technology teams across London, New York and Singapore.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the Tradeflow team, you will be expected to:

• Work on multiple concurrent projects and priorities.
• Work closely with end-users and other team members to gather use cases and translate them into functional components and applications.
• Strike the correct balance between performance, scalability, maintainability and go-to market time when designing a solution.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, unit tested and reliable code.
• Demonstrate excellent problem solving and teamwork skills.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• 3 years+ software development experience using C# and .NET, preferably within a financial institution experience.
• Good knowledge of C# .Net and object-oriented programming concepts
• Ability to think critically and develop innovative solutions.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Nuget packages.
• Good experience of Test-driven development, Unit testing, Mocks.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) .
• Experience of writing reusable libraries and windows services.
• SQL development experience (e.g. MS SQL, MySql, Oracle)
• Experience of relational database schemas.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced highly dynamic environment.
• A strong self-starter willing to work cohesively in a team-oriented environment and capable of working independently.
• Displays and operates at the highest degree of ethics and integrity.

The following would be highly beneficial:

• Knowledge of trading workflows, order types, and market data feeds
• Some knowledge of FIX protocol and messaging
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and networks
