 Kepak St. Merryn in Merthyr Tydfil has combined beef and lamb processing and packing facilities. We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers’ counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance.

Our Merthyr site is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly, passionate team as a Hygiene Operator on Nights. This will be cleaning the factory and machines overnight ready for production the following day. This is a full time, permanent position, working 6.00pm to 6.00am - 4 nights on / 4 nights off on £13.44 per hour.

Job Description

• Using specialised equipment and effective cleaning agents to meticulously clean and sanitise floors and walls

• Cleaning machinery to maintain the highest level of cleanliness for production, including belts, framework, walls, floors, ceilings, and lights

• Prioritising Health & Safety standards throughout the entire shift

• Following cleaning instruction cards diligently and ensuring compliance with instructions

• Keeping the Team Leader/Supervisor informed of any issues or concerns

Requirements

• Ensuring you are taking extra care when machine cleaning making sure the areas are hygienically clean at all times.
• Prioritising the well-being of yourself and others, you will strictly follow Health & Safety regulations.
• Paying attention to your safety by always wearing the appropriate PPE
