MMR Research Worldwide specializes in consumer and sensory research and collaborates with major international brands in the food, beverage, and personal/household care sectors. We are currently assisting one of our clients, IFF, one of the largest producers of flavor and fragrance ingredients, in recruiting part-time Taste Experts/Product Testers.

WHERE: Liebergerweg 72-76, 1221 JT Hilversum, The Netherlands

DAYS / HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, every week from 13:00 to 16:00

SALARY: €19.29 per hour (after 3 to 6 months upon successful completion of training, starting salary of €18.29)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work individually and within a team to evaluate a variety of food and beverage products; ranging from but not limited to snacks, soups, cheese, meats, non-alcoholic beverages, confectionery, dairy products, plant-based products...

This role requires excellent verbal communication skills, both for collaborative and independent roles. Participation and communication skills are key to success. You must feel comfortable expressing your thoughts in a group of 8-16 people.

You will learn how to describe and assess the sensory profile of products (aroma, appearance, flavor, taste, texture)

No experience required as full training will be provided

Requirements

  • You must not have any medical, religious, or dietary restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, diabetes), intolerances, or medical allergies, nor be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must not be taking medications that negatively affect vision, taste, and smell.
  • No objection to food additives such as natural and artificial sweeteners
  • Good sensory acuity regarding smell, taste, and texture (we will assess this during your application)
  • You must be able to follow detailed instructions in English and work well in a team.
  • Ability to articulate yourself and use technology (e.g., iPad)
  • Fluency in English and basic knowledge of Dutch
  • A genuine passion for food in general is a plus!
