My name is David, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Production Operator (Chemcial) for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in North Chicago, IL. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- Training will be on 1st Shift** then move to 2nd or 3rd
- 2nd Shift 3:00pm – 11:30pm - Pay: $35-33
- 3rd Shift 11:00pm – 7:30am - Pay: $37-34
- Perform production activities in a clean room environment using sophisticated equipment.
- Inspect parts or products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Set up and monitor equipment at a basic level.
- Read, follow, and maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Maintain records according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) if required.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals.
- Follow directions, both written and oral, to execute tasks accurately.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge/aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
Qualifications:- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Associate Degree in Natural Sciences or Chemistry preferred.
- Successful completion of a physical examination and respirator fit test.
- Ability to follow directions (written and oral) and work individually or as part of a team.
- Strong mechanical knowledge/aptitude, demonstrated through experience or personal interest (e.g., working on cars, fixing things at home).
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately document work performed.
- Reliable, hardworking, with good attendance record.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn more about the chemical process and the business.
- Personal integrity and commitment to maintaining a high standard of work.
- Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work well with others.
Note: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided by the client and must be worn as required for the job.
