- Lead and manage a team of application support analysts to ensure the smooth operation and support of core banking applications.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to understand application requirements and provide expert support and guidance.
- Manage incident and problem resolution, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Develop and implement best practices for application support processes and procedures.
- Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and maintained.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to address application-related issues and ensure service delivery.
- Monitor application performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to management on application support activities and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in core banking applications.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or its equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Core Banking applications in the Banking sector.
- 1+ leading a team of more than 3 members
- Operating system fundamentals (Linux, AIX, Windows).
- Good knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle).
- Knowledge of one or more Application Servers Websphere, Microsoft IIS Web Server)
- Good Knowledge of ticketing change management systems.
- Java Fundamentals
- Automation and testing tools knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automation /Scripting experience.
- Problem management and incident management skills
- Integration knowledge with ESB and Data warehouse
- Knowledge of banking products and services
- Development experience
