To contribute to the achievement of the company’s strategic goals through the leadership, management, and development of the Field Medical Team to successfully support launch of the neuro oncology and rare disease portfolio. Serves as a product lead for the field medical team, contributes to the development of product brand strategies; and ensures field execution of the medical and scientific strategies and tactics aligned across the organization. To ensure that all Field Medical Affairs activities are conducted within required timelines and budget, to the highest standards of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), International Council for Harmonization (ICH) guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and according to regulatory guidelines, laws and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead medical affairs strategy for upcoming product launch in the neuro and rare disease oncology. Ensures alignment across all medical affairs tactics and deliverables for launch and matrix team. May require to hire, retain and manage performance of MSL, dependent on company need.
- Provide strategic medical input as an essential member on the launch brand strategy and the disease state teams for the upcoming indication in glioma (as well as potential other indications to be pursued in the neuro oncology space).
- Establish a culture aligned to Telix, being science-based, seeking internal and external collaborations, ensuring a positive team culture of trust and a proactive and responsive attitude to ensure high-performance. Work closely with the multidisciplinary team in developing an integrated medical strategy.
- Optimize field strategy and determine tactical execution plan in supporting scientific and medical communications and building collaborative peer-to-peer relationships with external stakeholders supporting investigational and approved products. Ensure team is able to identify potential high-impact medical research projects and publication opportunities, in line with Telix identified areas of interest.
- Display fiscal accountability and efficient use of resources. Ensure high visibility and ongoing communication of team activities, achievements in addition to scientific and medical insights.
- Provide strategic and subject matter expertise input to the Medical Publications team.
- Establish expectations and tactics to support Telix clinical development and clinical operations, maintaining respective responsibilities and ensuring excellent communication to aid execution of Telix clinical studies. Experience in IITs, EAPs, and registries.
- Ensure comprehensive local, national and international meeting and congress planning, develop productive collaborations, assist personal education and ensure insight is shared within Telix cross-functionally.
- Maintain a high level of team knowledge of and appropriately implement current local pharmaceutical regulation and ensure implementation of Telix policies and procedures. Ensure all MSL activities, including external interactions, are conducted in accordance with Telix objectives, compliance policies and procedures as well as with legal and ethical standards.
Education and Experience:
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) with neuro-oncology, radiopharmaceutical experience required or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of Medical Affairs experience required
- 2+ years of management experience or Dir level required
- Experience working with clinical operations, R&D and/or medical affairs.
- Experience in radiopharmaceuticals preferred.
- Thorough understanding of all applicable regulatory requirements for field‐based scientific personnel.
- Experience/expertise in interpretation of scientific data, market research, and competitive intelligence tools. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
