<h4>What we are looking for</h4><p>The purpose of this role is to provide full-cycle human resources support to internal client groups. The HR Manager consults and acts as a strategic advisor to the leadership team to drive human resource-related objectives as well as alignment between business and people strategies.</p><p>The ideal candidate must have robust HR Management expertise to ensure the effective utilization and development of the organization's human resources.</p><h4><br></h4><h4>What does the job involve</h4><ul><li><strong>HR Policy Formulation</strong><ul><li>Develop and implement HR policies in line with the Labour Laws and Company objectives.</li><li>Improve/update policies as required.</li><li>Continuously review and update the SOP’s for the department as required.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Strategic Alignment of Employees</strong><ul><li>Use organizational direction to agree and plan and implement staffing needs.</li><li>Ensure all employees are assigned their relevant job descriptions to ensure delegation of duties and alignment with the corporate goals.</li><li>Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives by utilizing business acumen and understanding.</li><li>Provide HR reports to management as may be required for decision-making.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Employee Capability Development</strong><ul><li>Ensure the continuous upskilling of employees to meet organizational needs.</li><li>Develop, get approval and implement the training plan.</li><li>Implement other development areas such as coaching and mentoring.</li><li>Ensure the implementation and adherence to the training policies.</li><li>Develop and implement a succession and pipeline leadership policy and plan.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Performance Management</strong><ul><li>Develop and implement performance evaluation systems to assess employee performance against established goals and objectives.</li><li>Utilize performance metrics and analytics to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.</li><li>Provide training and support to managers and employees on performance appraisal processes and tools.</li><li>Work closely with managers to set clear performance expectations and ensure alignment with company objectives.</li><li>Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to employees to support their development and career growth.</li><li>Design and implement performance improvement plans (PIPs) for underperforming employees, offering guidance and resources to help them meet performance standards.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Disciplinary Management</strong><ul><li>Establish and maintain disciplinary procedures that are fair, consistent, and in compliance with labor laws and company policies.</li><li>Investigate employee misconduct and complaints, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to due process.</li><li>Advise managers on appropriate disciplinary actions and support them in conducting disciplinary meetings.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Termination Processes</strong><ul><li>Manage the termination process, ensuring it is conducted professionally and in accordance with legal requirements and company policies. Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback and identify opportunities for organizational improvement.</li><li>Coordinate with legal and finance departments to handle final settlements and ensure a smooth transition for departing employees.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Employee Engagement and Welfare</strong><ul><li>Develop and implement the culture framework.</li><li>Provide avenues such as competitive rewards and recognition to keep employees engaged to maintain high retention of productive employees.</li><li>Develop, implement and review the compensation and benefits plans to ensure that they are competitive and cost-effective.</li><li>Conduct regular employee surveys.</li></ul></li></ul><h4><br></h4><h4>Qualifications</h4><ul><li>8+ years of HR experience, including 4 years in a managerial role.</li><li>Human Resource/Management/Business Degree or relevant CHRP Certification.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations in Kenya.</li><li>Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.</li><li>Influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions.</li><li>Executing strategies and managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement.</li><li>Partnering with leadership to design and implement workforce strategies to meet organization objectives.</li></ul><h4><br></h4><h4>Benefits</h4><ul><li>Competitve Salary</li></ul> •
