Position Title: SME IT – Manufacturing Business Systems
Location: Mohali/PuneJOB SUMMARYThe primary responsibility will be leading manufacturing IT business systems requirements during project implementations and enhancements. He/She will be a manufacturing SME and lead Process Optimization initiatives. He/She should have ability to drive and provide recommendation and estimation for the effort required where multiple integrated applications related to manufacturing processes are undergoing rationalization as well as optimization.
Person will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, highly innovative and can work in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
Functional Reporting to Measurement Solutions Global Manufacturing GPS manager.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Responsible for analysis, design, and implementation of new or enhanced business systems following IT standards.
• Acts as a lead for system enhancements and project implementations especially Manufacturing and Material Flow.
• Performs as a subject matter expert for system projects - Providing Oracle Solutions
• Assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed accurately and in a timely fashion
• Responsible for development of business and IT requirement list including definitions and system flows.
• Work with the technical analyst and development team to ensure that they understand the specifications.
• Responsible for implementation including testing, readiness assessment, training, hardware capacity evaluation and performance evaluation.
2. Provides process improvement solutions other than Project post go-live business unit specific systems support as required.
3. Understands operational processes related to Configured vs Raw material, Warehouse & Manufacturing Execution, and communications with other systems.
4. Identifies gaps in operations and present solutions
5. Identifies system impact of changes from the internal business, end user needs, external business environment (i.e., government regulation) and operating specifications.
6. Identifies opportunity for improving processes through system automation and alerts
7. Develops, submits, and seeks approval for business system change requests. Upon approval coordinates implementation.
8. Creates and maintains documentation of assigned systems and process flow
9. Responsible for training other IT and Business team members
Job Description
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
• Experience: 10 plus years of related experience
PREFERRED SKILLS:• Strong knowledge of Oracle Manufacturing modules is required. Modules preferred Inventory, Bills of Material and Engineering, Cost Management, WIP/BOM, ASCP, Quality and logistics.
• Experience in an operational environment (Production, Logistics, Technology)
• Prior experience in Work Order Planning Systems, Shipment Forecasting, Travel Cards, Labels, Level Loading, Warehouse compliance and serialization, distribution centers IT systems preferred.
• A strong candidate will also understand the Oracle shipping execution modules and material flow processes including TRAX and Tradesphere.
• Prior Emerson Measurement Solutions experience strongly preferred.
• Experience creating complex Oracle database SQL queries. •
