Use your engineering experience to help people live healthier
Have you ever wanted to apply your engineering skills and experience to help others live healthier lives? At Wellth, we have an opportunity for you to do that.
Wellth strives to motivate and incentivize healthy habits through individualized care plans. Our approach draws on a unique combination of behavioral economics, habit science, and cutting-edge technology to drive positive behavior and habit change among some of the US's most underserved and high-needs patient populations. Our work has produced demonstrable results, with several large health insurers reporting significant reductions in hospitalization rates by up to 44% in some cases. Our ambition is to be more than just another digital health startup; we aspire to be a category leader in the $88B health outcomes market, singularly focused on improving the lives and medical outcomes of historically hard-to-engage populations. Our work immediately impacts people's lives daily; we have served over 65,000 patients and prevented an estimated 15,000 days in the hospital and 530 lives.
Our mobile app and backend systems drive the positive outcomes and growth we strive to achieve. You can be an integral part of their development.
You have the opportunity to build systems that drive daily healthy habit experiences
Specifically, you will:
- Design, build, test, launch, monitor, and support features in our React Native mobile application built for Android and iOS to motivate patients to achieve better health and earn rewards.
- Deliver experiences that use the camera and other device capabilities to drive daily engagement.
- Develop offline and fallback capabilities to support those with spotty online coverage or legacy handsets.
- Build and run experiments for experiences that incorporate gamification and behavioral economics techniques.
- Enable scalability with features optimized for performance and responsiveness.
- Protect privacy by following secure SDLC guidelines to maintain our HITRUST certification.
- Maintain a high-quality bar to achieve a delightful app experience, allowing us to maintain or exceed our 4.8+ star rating in the Apple App Store and 4.9+ star rating in the Google Play Store.
- Be one of the team’s leaders with loosely held strong opinions, with an ego-less, highly-collaborative, servant-leadership mentality.
You will be a member of a diverse and supportive team.
You will work with:
- Front-end and back-end engineers to develop our mobile app and backend systems.
- Quality engineers to build a testable system that is continuously integrated and delivered
- Product Managers to ideate and groom potential new mobile app and service capabilities and discuss new business challenges to solve.
