Job Summary
The Parts Runner/Warehouse Specialist is responsible for transporting parts and materials between the warehouse and various departments including our field locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining an organized workflow. This role requires excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. When not delivering parts you will be required to perform all other warehouse duties as assigned by your supervisor. Such duties are listed below.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure proper labeling and storage of all items.
- Assist in the organization and tracking of inventory, ensuring parts are correctly logged and stored. Making sure before delivery all inventory being transported is issued and orders closed.
Receiving and Shipping:
- Oversee the receipt of incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, and ensure accurate documentation. Prepare and dispatch outgoing shipments according to schedule.
Warehouse Organization:
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe. Implement and maintain efficient storage systems to optimize space utilization.
Team Coordination:
- Work closely with warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Timely Delivery:
- Transport parts, materials, and supplies between the warehouse, production shop, and field locations, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery.
Communication:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate deliveries and address any issues.
- Properly communicating with mechanics and shop techs on deliveries to ensure the proper items are delivered to reduce downtime.
Quality Control:
- Inspect parts and materials for accuracy and quality before delivery, reporting any discrepancies or damages. Recording deliveries through pictures and BOL (Bill of Lading)
Documentation:
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and inventory transactions, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- Ensuring all parts picked up are brought to the warehouse and properly stocked, and all paperwork properly filled out and turned in for receipt.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines. Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure the warehouse complies with health and safety regulations.
Support:
- Assist warehouse staff with general duties, including receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role preferred.
- Previous experience in Natural Gas Compressor Packaging preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed. 50 lb minimum
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
