DevOps Engineer - WordPress/Linux

Location Details: India, Remote

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. ​

Our new DevOps team, builds and maintains the infrastructure powering our Managed WordPress Hosting Platform. By providing coverage across 3 shifts, our international team of DevOps Engineers helps our customers sleep more soundly knowing their sites are in good hands. Being a DevOps Engineer is not just a glorified sysadmin gig. We empower each member of the team to address recurring problems and tackle them instead of settling for the status quo.

If you are dedicated to learning new ways of resolving sophisticated problems while using various tools and resources to accomplish the overall goal, we would really like to hear from you.

The working hours for this role is 9am to 6pm MST.

What you'll get to do...

• Fielding sophisticated tickets and customer requests escalated from our Sys Admins
• Responding to and remediating incoming alerts from supervising systems in a timely manner
• Communicating with site developers via our online helpdesk and Slack
• Working on different projects to improve efficiency, monitoring, performance, and features
• Chipping in to and refining our internal documentation

Your experience should include...

• 2+ years of Linux experience
• 1+ years of PHP experience
• 1+ years’ experience of database solving, preferably MySQL
• Experience building and maintaining servers using AWS is highly preferred
• Comfortable working in an SSH terminal or with an API
• Experience supporting WordPress is highly preferred
