Goodyear is the largest tyre company in the world and is a brand that is looking for several tyre fitters to support them all the way through their career.</p><p>This is an exciting role for someone who has experience within the Commercial Tyre Industry and is used to managing teams.</p><h2>Primary Purpose of the Position</h2><p>Provide inspirational leadership for the team to deliver the key Primary Purposes below:</p><ul><li>Manage and drive continuous improvement in all aspects of TruckForce commercial tyre service operations in the territory served by the TruckForce Hub, associated stocking locations and van operations. </li><li>Ensure the people, infrastructure and processes required to drive continuous improvement in the service to customers, maximise profitability, deliver sound controls and ensure a strong commercial focus to the business are in place.</li><li>Provide the highest quality of customer service and support to deliver the Commercial strategy and all customers.</li><li>Target and win additional Regional and local truck Fleet business to grow the Hub’s profitability, inspiring an entrepreneurial spirit within the Hub team.</li></ul><h2>Role and Responsibilities:</h2><p><strong>Operations Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that all Truck and TruckForce Fleets and accounts in the territory are properly managed, accurately and efficiently billed on an ongoing basis.</li><li>Day to day supervision as required of all Hub associates in order to deliver first in service standards.</li><li>Support the ongoing process to improve profitability of all existing major national and regional fleet accounts through a combination of price increases, proactive contract management and cost reduction.</li><li>Manage stock control to ensure sufficient stocking levels and forecasting to ensure production signal are given to reflect demand. Accountable for stock audit program including part worn stock holding.</li></ul><p><strong>Financial Planning:</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that the Hub is meeting / exceeding its sales, cost and profitability goals</li><li>Ensure that all costs and expenses are managed and within budgetary constraints.</li><li>Work with the Credit Department to minimise past dues.</li><li>Ensure that the operational, financial and administrative controls are relevant, appropriate and sound, and diligently adhered to.</li></ul><p><strong>People Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Continue to develop a strong successful TruckForce team in the territory.</li><li>Ensure that all team members are appropriately trained and developed and that succession plans are in place for Branch Manager and other key roles.</li><li>Operate within regular HR guidelines and policies.</li></ul><p><strong>Health and Safety:</strong></p><ul><li>To establish an industry leading Safety Culture through leading by example, supporting the team, being accountable and holding the team accountable to develop and implement safe working practices.</li><li>Responsible for reporting and investigating any incidents working with company health and safety management team to identify/address any changes to ensure associates work safely and comply with company policy.</li></ul><h2>To join our team, you will need:</h2><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>0 Level/GCSE or equivalent standard mathematics and English language (Desired).</li><li>Tyre fitting qualifications are desired.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Tyre Industry related experience is crucial.</li><li>Experience of managing teams circa 10+.</li><li>Valid UK Driving Licence.</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge and Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Commercial acumen and tyre associated tyre knowledge is essential.</li><li>Strong IT skills including the usage of Excel and the familiarity with SAP/Hyperion or ERP system.</li><li>Able to be flexible, seek responsibility and work without supervision.</li><li>Strong communicator, proven problem-solving skills and have a creative thinking ability.</li></ul><h1>Benefits:</h1><ul><li>Competitive salary and bonus scheme.</li><li>Company Car.</li><li>Enhanced defined contribution pension scheme and life assurance scheme.</li><li>33 days holiday (including bank holidays).</li><li>Private medical cover after qualifying period.</li><li>Staff discount scheme on High Street and leisure activities.</li><li>Option to buy and sell holidays.</li><li>Up to 4 free tyres annually after 12 months service.</li><li>Free eye test and flu vouchers.</li></ul> •
