Role Overview:
We are seeking a Director, Sourcing Strategy & Optimization to lead high-impact, client-facing initiatives in our Contract Optimization business. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in sourcing, procurement, or contract management, and a proven ability to engage directly with clients to deliver transformative results. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging AI-driven tools and advanced analytics to optimize supplier contracts and improve organizational outcomes.
As a leader in the Optimization team, you will combine your expertise in strategic sourcing with cutting-edge technology to drive measurable value, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier relationships across critical spend categories. This position is highly visible, requiring frequent collaboration with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Lead the analysis and optimization of supplier contracts, identifying opportunities for cost savings and risk mitigation.
- Develop and implement strategies to align contracts with organizational goals and best-in-class standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including procurement, finance, and compliance, to deliver integrated solutions.
- AI-Driven Analysis:
- Play a role in the development of cutting-edge AI model development.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to extract and analyze metadata, evaluate terms, and benchmark contracts across spend categories.
- Guide the integration of advanced analytics into sourcing strategies for scalable, data-driven results.
- Team and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Present findings, recommendations, and strategic roadmaps to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Deliverables:
o Oversee the development of client-ready deliverables including the delivery and education and execution as needed.
o Deliver actionable insights and strategies to optimize supplier terms and ensure alignment with client priorities and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or contract management, with a track record of driving strategic initiatives.
- Deep domain expertise in indirect spend categories such as logistics, facilities, and/or outsourced services.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical capabilities with an ability to synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations.
- Expertise in supplier negotiations, contract terms, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with AI tools, data analytics, or Contract Lifecycle Management solutions is a plus.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, legal studies, or related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
