As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of construction projects in a virtual setting.. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive mindset, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to navigate industry-specific terminology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The primary focus of this role is to proactively manage project schedules, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner. Anticipating potential bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts is crucial to maintaining project momentum.
- Maintain a forward-looking perspective of at least two weeks to counteract the client's tendency towards last-minute planning.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize tasks and allocate resources. Create and maintain prioritized daily task lists to ensure efficiency and mitigate last-minute rushes.
- Regularly communicate with project stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and advocate for early attention to critical tasks. This may involve making follow-up phone calls and leveraging digital communication platforms.
- While familiarity with construction industry terminology is beneficial, candidates with a willingness to learn and adapt will be considered. We provide training materials to support your development in this area.
Requirements
- Prior experience in project management, familiarity in the construction industry is a plus!
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate project needs and schedule adjustments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and project management software.
- Technology Requirements: Own Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above & Microsoft Office) with an internet connection of at least 10 Mbps.
- Time Flexibility: Willing to work on Pacific Standard Time (PST) schedule.
