About this role 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Consumer Growth Strategy lead, reporting to the SVP. This role supports the SVP, Consumer Growth by identifying and evaluating business development opportunities, growth initiatives, and strategic partnerships for the D2C segment, while driving GTM strategy and ensuring cross-functional alignment across partnerships, marketing, and customer success. You will provide strategic recommendations, lead the development of standards, and serve as the connective tissue for cross-functional teams. Continually evaluate market trends, develop initiatives to diversify revenue streams, and implement partnership tracking via KPIs and reporting to optimize effectiveness.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the SVP, Consumer Growth by identifying, evaluating, and partnering on business development opportunities, growth initiatives, and strategic partnerships for the D2C segment.
  • Collaborate with the SVP, Consumer Growth, and other leaders to drive GTM strategy across all customer segments. Ensure partnerships, marketing, and customer success teams are strategically aligned to achieve D2C business goals.
  • Provide recommendations on key strategic initiatives, from initial hypothesis generation and analytical analysis to executive-ready outputs.
  • Act as the connective tissue for cross-functional teams (including Product, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other internal groups), working to share knowledge and drive people towards a common goal.
  • Support the development of initiatives that capitalize on the business's competitive position, diversify revenue streams, and align with our long-term vision.
  • Continuously evaluate new market trends and competitive opportunities or threats.
  • Lead the development of standards, including playbooks and case studies.
  • Define and implement partnership tracking via KPIs, reporting, and dashboarding to evaluate effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

About your Skills

  • Strategic Thinking and Business Development: You should have a demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate business development opportunities, growth initiatives, and strategic partnerships. You must possess strong strategic thinking skills to drive GTM strategy and align cross-functional teams with business goals. Additionally, experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives that capitalize on competitive positioning and diversify revenue streams is essential.
  • Analytical and Data-Driven Decision Making: You should be proficient in conducting analytical analysis and generating hypotheses to provide strategic recommendations. You must have experience interpreting complex data sets, developing KPIs, and implementing effective reporting and dashboarding systems. Strong skills in market trend evaluation, competitive analysis, and identifying opportunities and threats are crucial for this role.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Leadership: Proven experience in working effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product, Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other internal groups, is necessary. The candidate should have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to serve as the connective tissue for cross-functional teams, driving collaboration towards common goals. Experience in leading the development of standards, such as playbooks and case studies, to guide cross-functional efforts is also important.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for conveying complex information clearly and compellingly. You should have the ability to produce executive-ready outputs and presentation materials. Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and successful execution of business goals.

What you’ll have

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in marketing, analytics, strategy, or operations roles, with at least 3 of business development experience.
  • Proven experience in identifying and evaluating business development opportunities, growth initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to think strategically, develop long-term plans, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling presentation materials and present complex data to senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with experience leading and coordinating business investigations and special projects.
  • Strong experience in operational excellence and planning strategies. 
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate cross-functional teams and drive organizational change.
  • Proficiency in using analytical tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and Tableau is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, Analytics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a nice to have.
