Job Purpose:

This role is the Vendor Management Specialist III position serves as the main point of contact for various divisions including the Vice Presidents over those properties/divisions.  It is the Vendor Management Specialist III job to serve and support these positions and address their various vendor relations and operational needs. This job could be located in Atlanta, GA or Dallas, TX.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage centralized vendor relationships, including company travel, office suppliers, shipping, etc.
  • Play a critical role in the management of the Companywide credit card program
  • Work with internal departments on invoice reconciliation, and vendor purchase order reconciliation
  • Communicate performances and costs to management
  • When necessary, source and interview vendors; assist in the negotiation of contracts and costs
  • Recommend new processes or systems for improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytical techniques to reconcile financial data and review and process financial documents

 

Job Specifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and written
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Must show initiative and attention to detail
  • Genuine interest in learning, understanding and empathizing with the needs of the organization’s leadership and staff
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization, to be a team leader and - as important - to be a team player
