Anser Advisory is seeking a Construction Inspector to work on major water and wastewater related infrastructure projects in the Denver area. The Construction Inspector will provide construction oversight on small to large scale water and wastewater infrastructure public works projects including water and wastewater treatment, pipelines, pump stations and reservoirs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect and record Contractor’s construction activities at the project site to ensure conformance to the contract documents.
- Inspect and record Contractor’s material deliveries and field installations.
- Materials testing duties as specified in the contract.
- Take measurements and maintain records of quantities and materials installed.
- Prepare “As-Built” drawings.
- Respond to inquiries regarding inspection as related to the project.
- Exercise sound judgment in identifying potential problems and report any issues to immediate supervisor.
- Work within a Project Team environment to resolve problems.
- Perform office support work, compiling records and data for proposed and completed projects.
- Operate motor vehicle in field.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, or Related Field; or 5+ years of construction inspection experience.
- CMIT, ACI, NICET, APWA certifications are pluses.
- Three (3) years of experience in municipal water/wastewater projects.
- OSHA 10 or 30 hours
- Experience with water/wastewater construction projects.
- Experience in construction or upgrades of pump stations.
- Experience in construction or upgrades of collection and distribution systems.
- Experience working in an active treatment plant is a plus.
- Experience with large diameter pipe construction and reservoirs is a plus.
- Experience in mechanical, electrical and control systems installation and testing.
- Experience working in/for municipal agencies or utility infrastructure organizations.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret contract documents including plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Knowledgeable in math, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports, both manually and electronically.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
