As an Intern DevOps Engineer, you will assist in the development, maintenance, and optimization of our workflows and infrastructure. You will work closely with our DevOps team to implement coding changes, support ServiceNow operations, and contribute to our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Coding & Workflow Changes:
- Assist in writing and maintaining scripts to automate workflows.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes.
- Support the development of CI/CD pipelines and other automation tools.
- ServiceNow Administration:
- Help manage and configure ServiceNow instances for incident, change, and problem management.
- Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other tools and services used by the organization.
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Support:
- Monitor system performance and availability, providing insights for optimization.
- Help document SRE processes and best practices to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Agile Methodology Involvement:
- Participate in daily stand-ups to report progress and challenges.
- Assist in backlog grooming sessions to prioritize tasks and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Contribute to sprint planning and retrospective meetings.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Scrum is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
