Role

 We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to innovate, win and grow with us in Bangalore! 

PTX is a business payments platform that allows businesses and organisations of any size in the UK to make payments using Bacs, Faster Payments, cheques and to receive payments via Direct debit.

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will work within an agile SCRUM team for PTX, on Bottomline’s innovative Payments and Financial Document Automation SaaS solutions. You will bring enthusiasm, and experience to the role, while working with current technologies to build innovative functionality and evolve our class leading solution into a micro-service based, ‘public cloud ready’ solution and participate in investigating new technologies, developing prototypes, new products, features and architectural discussions.

How you’ll contribute:

• Provide functional and technical testing expertise within a product domain area
• Anticipate QA related risks\impact associated with feature development
• Work as a full partner with the development team to include all hooks and debug tools that will help to drive quality.
• Participate in all planning and estimation practices.
• Create and execute manual and automated test strategies with an emphasis on balancing the need for thorough documentation of tests with the need to move quickly and in an agile way
• Work on a Selenium Java based QA automation framework
• Produce status reports and quality metrics for in sprint and regression testing phases
• Work closely with developers to improve test coverage
• Contribute establishing, revising, and verifying quality standards, processes, and procedures.
• Create and analyse testing artefacts - test plans, test cases, and user scenarios.
• Interact with the customer regarding ongoing activities
• Mentoring junior QAAs

• Ability to be flexible and meet deadlines and changing priorities
• Work in highly collaborative environment, either independently or part of the team
• Knowledge or understanding of the banking / financial services is desirable but not necessary
• Experience and solid understanding of Agile practices (SCRUM)
• Ability to perform tests against Web applications, both front-end UI, APIs as well as back-end databases
• Working knowledge and experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket and Jenkins/Gitlab
• Test metrics reporting knowledge
• Ability to read, write and analyse SQL database queries (Oracle/Postgres) would be desirable
