Role Overview: 

As a Staff iOS Engineer at Blinq, you will be a pivotal force in our mobile technical landscape, demonstrating expert-level knowledge and mastery across multiple domains, ranging from from core iOS application development to accessories, widgets and upstream API design. Your role will encompass leadership in technical decision-making, designing innovative and scalable systems, optimizing internal workflows, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

This is a hybrid role working from our Melbourne or Sydney locations.

Staff Engineers at Blinq are expected to embody the following competencies:

  • Possess expert-level knowledge and mastery in multiple technical domains.

4. Leadership:

  • Exhibit exceptional leadership qualities, guiding technical strategies and contributing to the organization's vision.
  • Set high standards for performance and professionalism, serving as a role model for both technical and leadership excellence.
  • Actively shape the organizational culture, driving innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

5. Teamwork:

  • Provide strong leadership within teams, serving as a mentor and guide to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Facilitate a culture of collaboration, encouraging knowledge sharing and creating an environment where individuals thrive.
  • Play a pivotal role in resolving complex team challenges and ensuring effective communication across diverse teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in roles demonstrating the specified competencies.
