Position Summary:
To provide excellent guest service and a “wow” dining experience by anticipating guests needs. To effectively deliver all food and beverage orders and maintain a professional attitude throughout the meal period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clean, clear, and set function room tables as determined by banquet standards. Responsible for cleanliness of equipment and impeccable appearance of server station.
Serve, clear, or replenish food items as required or requested. Solicit wine orders during dinner functions unless previously arranged. Serve beverages and clean as necessary for all beverage functions. Perform side work and designated by Banquet Manager.
Handle guest’s opportunities promptly and courteously.
Maintain work area in a professional manner. Make sure equipment and stock are kept clean, neat, orderly and in good working condition.
Assist in greeting and seating guests. Apply professional service techniques according to established standards.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree preferred; three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of English.
Language Skills
Must be able to understand, read, and communicate in English.
Mathematical Skills
Must have basic number knowledge, ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide basic two-digit numbers. Must be able to understand American weight, volume, and distance measurements.
Reasoning Ability
Able to hold good conversation. Must be able to read and understand a hotel catering order. Has customer service skills including the ability to handle problems and complaints diplomatically.
