About the team + role

Join our outstanding team as an Engineering Manager in the Frauds Alert Management department at Robinhood Markets Inc. Our goal is to automate the resolution of detected suspicious activities, ensuring prompt remediation to safeguard our customers and meet regulatory obligations. You will have the chance to work closely with various teams, such as Product Managers and Operations, to assist in fraud management for all product launches. Through the use of analytics, we consistently enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our investigation and remediation procedures.

What you’ll do

  • Coaching and mentoring Robinhood's engineers by giving them concrete feedback and setting clear goals
  • Managing large, impactful projects and coordinating project work with other teams and managers
  • Partnering with peers in Trading Operations and Product Management to craft and evolve the team's vision, mission, and strategy
  • Delivering high-quality, impactful projects in record time with thoughtful planning
  • Applying technical leadership and expertise to your team and across engineering
  • Implementing effective engineering processes and policies that emphasize quality and forward progress

What you bring

  • 2+ years of experience directly managing backend engineers
  • 5+ years of experience as a full-time software engineer on backend systems
  • Strong technical skills and ability to architect technical solutions
  • Experience working on Equities, Options, or Crypto trading systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrates high accountability, independence, and ownership
  • You love helping engineers develop new skills and advance in their careers. You don't shy away from performance conversations, and you recognize the relationship between clear feedback and career growth.

Bonus points:

  • Experience with building and operating high-performance and reliability systems.
