Job purpose:
We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Analyst to join our Croydon based finance team. This is a newly created position to play a crucial role in providing insightful commercial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving business performance. The ideal candidate would have excellent technical skills in business analytics coupled with a strong commercial mindset.
Reporting directly to the Head of FP&A you will work independently and in close partnership with GTM and Sales Operations teams.
How you will contribute at Janes:
- Analyse customer data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business strategies.
- Produce monthly ACV KPIs pack, including analysis of key drivers, trends, and one-off events to form actionable insights for senior management.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into business performance, customer behaviours and metrics.
- Maintain existing sales and customer dashboards in Power BI
- Support product team with strategic pricing reviews of current and future products and pricing models.
- Conduct customer segmentation analysis to identify key customer groups and tailor strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making.
- Continuously monitor and improve data quality and integrity.
Requirements
The Commercial Analyst would have strong analytical and technical skills, attention to detail and commercial mindset to be successful in this role.
- Previous relevant professional experience with customer data analysis and insights generation.
- Strong technical skills in data analytics and business intelligence tools (Excel incl. VBA and Power Query, SQL, Power BI and/or Tableau).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Confident communication skills for interaction with personnel at all levels in the organization.
- Strong work ethics and commitment to executing tasks through to completion.
