We are currently seeking an experienced FMS Engineer in support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). The position will provide high-level engineering support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases, assisting in system assessments, design recommendations, and risk analysis for various vehicle platforms under PEO GCS. This includes performing system engineering studies, trade-offs, and integration analysis, as well as generating technical documentation and participating in program reviews. The role involves collaboration with international customers, requiring occasional off-hours work and up to 10% OCONUS travel annually.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and recommend solutions for obsolescence issues and design changes related to FMS vehicle platforms.
- Provide engineering analysis for hardware/software configurations, including integration, failure analysis, and lifecycle cost reduction recommendations.
- Participate in requirements management, technology assessments, and risk mitigation strategies for assigned systems.
- Support technical briefings and program reviews, delivering updates on software, hardware, and system performance.
- Prepare and provide meeting minutes, and support off-hours meetings and international collaboration as needed.
Qualifications
- Secret Security Clearance
- A Bachelor's degree from an ABET accredited program in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering from a college or university preferred.
- A Master's degree may be substituted for two years of required experience.
- Seven years experience in production and manufacturing or similar and
- Experience supporting the US Army or DoD is preferred including working with/on tracked or wheeled ground combat vehicles in military or civilian capacity (operator, maintainer, logistics, acquisition, or production).
