The intent of this grant is to provide a Child Care Health Consultant (CCHC) Technical Assistance Support Line that will be available to non-Quality First enrolled child care providers to outreach via phone/email to seek guidance, education and answers to their most pertinent questions regarding the health and safety of staff and children amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS (This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required; employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned. List in order of importance.) The grant partner will implement a statewide Child Care Health Consultation (CCHC) Technical Assistance Support Line which will provide Arizona non-Quality First child care providers and Quality First participants who do not have access to a Child Care Health Consultant access to a Child Care Liaison that will support them in their understanding of how they can safely re-open/remain open. There are several components to this grant that the grant partner must provide. 1. The grant partner must ensure that the Support Line is available during daily business hours via phone and email to answer questions from child care providers and provide clarity on COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. The grant partner must respond to all emails, phone calls and voicemails as they come in during business hours. Any emails/voicemails received after-hours must be responded to within 24 business hours. a. If a Quality First child care provider contacts the Support line and it is verified that they have an assigned CCHC, the Liaison will provide contact details including name, phone number and email address of their assigned CCHC. The Liaison will also send an email to the CCHC who is assigned to the program to make them aware that support is needed. 2. As calls/emails are received, the Liaison will implement a triage system to identify child care providers who need targeted and in-depth support in the implementation of reasonable health/safety measures. These child care providers will be offered pre-scheduled dedicated one-on-one time with the Liaison. During these meetings, the Liaison will use the guidance document/checklist that has been developed by FTF to ensure consistent delivery of COVID-19 health and safety information. 3. The Liaison will offer virtual community of practice meetings to all non-Quality First child care providers, focused on trends that the Liaison has identified through interactions with child care providers as well as updates to state, federal, and local guidance. These meetings may also include a how-to series and provide space for questions. In order to do all of this, the CCHC staffing the Liaison position will ensure that COVID-19 health information and resources made available to child care providers are consistent with state, federal, and local guidelines and requirements. The CCHC will also establish a contact person at each county health department to understand region-specific COVID-19 reporting procedures and proclamations that impact child care providers. •
