We are currently seeking an experienced Artificial Intelligence Engineering support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS). The position will provide subject matter expertise in robotics and AI development, including input and recommendations on performance and technical requirements, acquisition strategies, and test and evaluation plans for U.S. military ground combat systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise in robotics and AI development.
- Review, evaluate, and provide written and oral recommendations for technical and performance requirements.
- Contribute input to the development of scopes of work and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
- Assist in the formulation of Acquisition Strategy, Development Plans, and Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs).
- Support the development of Milestone Documents, software test and evaluation strategies, product support strategies, and intellectual property strategies.
- Provide input to engineering and system technical documentation, data, and artifacts.
- Conduct engineering analysis and evaluate design concepts, performance measurements, and architectural analysis.
- Perform technical reviews, requirements analysis, risk analysis and mitigation, and functional analysis.
- Support the design, development, integration, testing, production, logistics, fielding, and sustainment of U.S. military ground combat systems.
- Offer technical services for system engineering processes, architectures, and software development and sustainment.
- Analyze subsystem design, safety, environmental, and programmatic technical impacts and issues.
- Provide relevant data to independent technical readiness review teams.
- Evaluate readiness assessment results and replan development activities if necessary.
- Support modeling and simulation plans, including establishing autonomy test frameworks and hardware/software interface requirements for autonomous systems.
- Participate in engineering meetings, program meetings, and Integrated Product/Process Teams (IPTs), providing status updates, technical expertise, guidance, and recommendations concerning software engineering.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an ABET accredited program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering from a college or university.
- A Master’s degree in any of the preceding disciplines may be substituted for one year of general experience.
- A minimum total of ten years engineering experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.
- Five years experience in the development of robotics or artificial intelligence (AI) capability development for DoD or industry applications.
