About the Position

Foursquare is looking for a highly skilled Senior Data engineer to join our team! While we would prefer candidates based in or around our office hub in Seattle or New York.

About the team

The Attribution Team operates a world-class Ad-measurement product that specializes in foot traffic and sales. Our measurement pipelines process billions of Ad impressions per day to provide analytics that help brands to measure the effectiveness of their campaigns across multiple channels while the campaign is still in-flight. We do so by applying a series of proprietary algorithms and models to attribute visits and sales to specific impressions. 

In this role, you’ll 

• Work closely with data scientists to productionize ML models.
• Design, implement & maintain data pipelines that process billions of impressions, visits and transactions per day.
• Build new features by working directly with customer facing teams.
• Work effectively with a high degree of autonomy within a collaborative team.

What you’ll need

• 8+ years of experience in building large scale data pipelines using Spark.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration technologies such as Airflow. 
• Working knowledge of open table formats such as Delta, Iceberg or Hudi.
• Experience working with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Proficient in SQL.  
• Experience designing and deploying high performance systems with reliable monitoring and logging practices.
• Experience in optimizing and troubleshooting complex data pipelines. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

At Foursquare, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards.  Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and specific office location.

The annual total cash compensation range is $124,000 - $204,250 however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies, as well as location. 

Salary is just one component of Foursquare’s total compensation package, which includes restricted stock units, multiple health insurance options, and a wide range of benefits!
