Merchandise Finance Manager - Retail - R1.2Mil - R900K

Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently assisting a well-established retail company in their search for a Merchandise Finance Manager. This position will be based in their headquarters in Cape Town.

The Merchandise Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and performance analysis of the merchandise division. They will work closely with the merchandise team to drive financial success and make informed business decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Compile, track and advise Category Buyers on the performance and financial KPIs of the category.
• To assist in the delivery of identified ad-hoc projects and reports.
• Develop and recommend business strategies that target category-specific growth
• Make specific recommendations for developing strategic initiatives based on analytical findings
• Identify and recommend process improvements that target performance, quality, work efficiency or cost reduction

Requirements

• Relevant Financial Degree/Diploma
• 2 years finance or 4 years retail management experience in Merchandise planning, preferably within retail FMCG environment
• Strong Advanced Excel Skills
• Proficiency in SAP and BW
• Affinity for numbers
