About the role

As the Sr. Manager of Customer Assurance, you'll have the opportunity to develop, mature and operate a global customer assurance function. Your team will be the center of providing trust to our customers throughout the sales lifecycle. This role will work directly with our customers and internal stakeholders to demonstrate Cloudflare’s security posture and how we align with industry best practices and applicable laws.

What you'll do

  • Grow a global program dedicated to addressing and anticipating customer security and compliance requirements
  • Develop SME-level expertise in the security features of Cloudflare products and infrastructure
  • Lead information requests including completing questionnaires, providing supporting documentation, partnering with product and engineering teams to clarify discrepancies, and communicating results in an organized manner
  • Manage the education and training of Cloudflare’s security and compliance posture to the sales organization
  • Create and own security compliance assets including websites, white papers, and faqs.
  • Partner with organizational leaders to find creative and innovative ways to address customer requirements
  • Drive improvements to existing processes; Ability to overhaul a process to make it more efficient
  • Participate in sales calls addressing security and compliance questions for prospects and existing customers
  • Review security clauses in contracts; advise on Cloudflare’s security posture and ensure contracts accurately reflect our measures 
  • Assist where applicable in compliance audits

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

  • 8-10 years of direct experience with security compliance frameworks and audits (SOC, PCI, ISO27001, FedRAMP, etc.)
  • Experience with managing a global team
  • Highly skilled communicator and influencer with the ability to describe complex concepts in easy to consumable terms
  • Proven previous experience streamlining processes and producing quality metrics 
  • Previous experience supporting customer facing teams is a major plus

Compensation

Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location and level.

  • San Francisco based estimated annual salary of $230,000 - $255,000 USD
  • Washington D.C. based estimated annual salary of $218,000 - $242,000 USD
  • Texas Based Estimated annual salary of $195,000 - $217,000 USD

Equity

This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
