Capstone is in search of experienced investment analysts with a special expertise in the TMT (technology, media and telecom) sector. Our analyst will cover issues including Facebook and big tech regulation, telecom mergers, and other relevant issues. Our firm works with some of the most sophisticated investors in the world, analyzing key policy issues across the health care, energy, and the financial services sectors, as well as special situations. Analysts will be responsible for creating unique investment ideas based on rigorous policy analysis. Analysts will interact with leading investors in the TMT sector and top policymakers focusing on various aspects of regulation and reform. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical skills and experience creating differentiated investment ideas.

Candidates will be highly qualified professionals with at least three years of investment or policy analyst experience and an established background in TMT. 

Requirements

Candidates will also possess the following attributes:

  • Intelligence and the ability to express opinions clearly and forcefully
  • Creativity and the ability to see unique angles
  • Strong client servicing and interpersonal skills
  • An affinity for communicating clearly in both written and oral form
  • Judgment to discern good equity investment ideas from bad
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Passion for combining policy and politics with investing

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, with high academic achievement
  • At least three years of relevant experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without employer sponsorship

 

Capstone offers a competitive benefits package, including health, vision, dental insurance, paid vacation, travel stipend and 401(k). The expected compensation for this role will be $90,000-$130,000 per annum, commensurate with experience with eligibility in Capstone's annual bonus pool. 
 
This position is based in our Washington, DC office. Capstone is in-person Monday thru Thursday with flexible work from home Fridays.
