Income Research + Management – Summer Internship 2025
Income Research + Management is a Boston-based, privately owned, fixed income asset management firm. IR+M will be offering a formal summer internship program starting in June of 2025. The Internship Program will allow talent to join and gain exposure to various teams across the organization to develop and construct meaningful, project-based work that will provide interns real world working experience and exposure to senior management. The intention is to introduce them to our firm and allow us to assess their candidacy as future permanent employees.
Specifics of the summer program will include, but are not limited to:
· Orientation, Intro to IR+M, and Bonds 101
· Exposure to Senior Management and colleague connections
· The program will consist of a mix of collaborative, project-based work, independent research assignments, and day to day tasks
· Interns will participate in volunteer events, our annual Gives Back Week, and external social events
· The program will end with an assessment providing constructive feedback to the intern
Teams hosting an intern in 2025:
· Credit Research
· Portfolio Management
· Investment Technology
· Product Management/Marketing
· Investor Services
· Corporate Accounting
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
· Rising Juniors and Seniors majoring in Finance, Math, Economics and Business Administration
· Knowledge of and interest in working in Financial Services industry – specially asset management
· Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to learn
· Self-starter – ability to be productive and problem solve
· Strong organization skills and attention to detail
· Ability to work and thrive in a deadline driven environment with multiple priorities
· Flexibility to juggle multiple projects for different stakeholders
· Professional demeanor comfortable working collaboratively with peer group and sr. professionals alike
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
