<p><strong>Role & Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for 4 Direct Reports and 13 Indirect Reports</li><li>Directs the daily operation and provides supervision for the maintenance team including Mechanical, Electrical, Process Controls, Planning and Stores</li><li>Incorporates safety in all aspects of the maintenance department and ensures that safe working conditions, actions, and practices are adhered to and meet all CGC, Provincial, Federal requirements and expectations.</li><li>Lead and establish a positive department culture of Continuous Improvement that is consistent with the expectations of CGC and the Wheatland Plant including consistent use and development of CI Tools such as Reflection Boards/Meetings, CI Cards, Area Boards and consistent Gemba walks. </li><li>Responsible for the implementation and oversight of the operator rate program, including evaluating and approving rate advances.</li><li>Ability to break down complex operational issues, determine the root cause, and implement effective counter measures.</li><li>Responsible for efficiently executing daily maintenance activities necessary for the operation of equipment.</li><li>Effective communication skills with various departments around maintenance issues and any potential impact on operations.</li><li>Training and development of employees to ensure depth and proficiency of applicable skills. </li><li>Foster high levels of employee engagement through coaching. </li><li>Provide support and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Ensure that key performance indicators are understood and achieved</li><li>Provide timely and responsible coaching, (formal / Informal), to employees in a constructive manner and ensure consistency from department leadership.</li><li>Establish and maintain a culture of Continuous Improvement that is consistent with the expectations of CGC and the Wheatland Plant.</li><li>Oversee and direct the development and enhancement of the Plant RPM program focused on the successful prioritization of all scheduled work to meet the best interests of the plant and our customers.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications & Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstratable leadership capability with maintenance experience at a supervisor level.</li><li>Working knowledge of manufacturing plant equipment and processes is an asset.</li><li>Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.</li><li>Ability to complete detail orientated administrative and record-keeping tasks.</li><li>Strong advocate of continuous improvement initiatives including LSS, LEAN, 5S, and Visual Work Management.</li><li>Must be able to maintain positive relationships and seek to achieve conflict resolution for self and reports in a timely manner and with positive intent.</li><li>Establish and maintain open communications with peers across USG and CGC to establish and share best practices.</li><li>Periodic Travel Required (US/CAN)</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Yearly Salary: $82,080 - $109,440</strong></p><p>Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.<br></p><hr><p><em></em>At CGC Inc. we go the distance to provide The Better Way.
