Who we are looking for:
Phoenix Tailings is seeking passionate and driven researchers to join ourLeadership Development Program (LDP) - R&D. We are looking for individuals who want to make a significant impact on the future of sustainable metals production by advancing cutting-edge research and development initiatives. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about innovation, sustainability, and creating new technologies.
You will be part of a program that prepares future leaders by immersing you in critical R&D tasks while learning how to lead teams and drive innovations in clean metal production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research and development projects:Work on innovative refining technologies and contribute to the development of new processes for sustainable metal production.
- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams: Ensure that new technologies are seamlessly integrated into production operations, driving efficiency and sustainability.
- Drive the development of breakthrough technologies: Research, test, and scale new refining processes such as solvent extraction and molten salt electrolysis.
- Conduct experiments and analyze results: Use data to optimize refining processes and improve the overall production system.
- Operational leadership: Engage with day-to-day operations to ensure research outcomes are effectively applied to real-world production challenges.
- Prepare for leadership: You will receive hands-on leadership training to equip you for senior roles within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. preferred in Chemistry, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
- Strong research background with experience in metallurgical or chemical process development.
- Passion for innovation, sustainability, and clean energy technologies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex research problems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A desire to grow into a leadership role in a rapidly scaling company.
