THE ROLE

 We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and modernization of our cloud-based SaaS platform. This role involves analyzing, designing, and implementing high-quality software solutions that meet industry best practices and scalability standards. As part of the engineering team, you’ll play a key role in migrating legacy systems, enhancing functionality, and ensuring the long-term growth of the platform.

Key Responsibilities 

Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and well-architected code for a SaaS platform.

Review, analyze, and modernize legacy PHP codebases, transitioning them to the Laravel framework.

Engineer and maintain RESTful APIs to enable scalable communication between systems.

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and performance issues.

Design and implement robust product enhancements and new features.

Collaborate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and monitoring.

Work with senior engineers to establish and implement architecture standards, frameworks, and best practices.

Participate in Agile development processes, ensuring timely delivery of sprint goals.

Contribute to DevOps initiatives, optimizing CI/CD pipelines and AWS-based environments.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into the development process when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Strong programming background with 3-5+ years of experience in PHP, with a focus on Laravel.
• Proven experience modernizing legacy systems and transitioning them to scalable frameworks.
• Expertise in building and optimizing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in React preferred.
• Solid understanding of MySQL or similar relational databases and optimization techniques.\
• Familiarity with AWS services, Kubernetes, and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing, test-driven development, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of MVC and object-oriented programming principles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with web-based SaaS applications serving 50,000+ active users.
Familiarity with additional tools and technologies such as GitHub, React, and Kubernetes.
Exposure to UI/UX best practices and modern web development trends.
Proven track record of meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality software.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 annually.
