Summary of Position:
- Responsible for ensuring that finished products meet quality and specification requirements.
Tasks: - Complete daily poke-yoke and torque verification audits.
- Ability to use metrology equipment and assist in H-point data collection.
- Assist Launch with Production Trial Runs (PTR)
- Maintain calibration records.
- Support in root cause analysis of return seats and provide detail information to implement Quality/Process Alerts for awareness to the production floor.
- Drive continuous improvements to meet first run capability and reduce IPPM's.
- Reviews the results of daily process and product audits, LATs, Quality Gates tally sheets and reports daily the relevant information for management review as required.
- Assists in problem solving and root cause investigation with issues among our production line or with suppliers.
- Work on quality issues / assign responsibility to pickup or ship a seat/component replacement.
- Shares responsibility with other Quality Department staff for writing procedures, implementing programs, preparing forms, and other departmental duties.
- Follow all corporate and local procedures (to include but not limited to TS16949).
- Maintain training records within your department.
- Assigns duties to assigned hourly employees and supervises their work.
- Disposition scrap and ensure that scrap is contained appropriately.
- 5s in the quality laboratory and nonconforming cage.
- Performs any other duties required in pursuance of the function of this position or as directed by the Quality Manager.
Qualifications: - Four year degree and/or related work experience
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Supervisory experience and understanding of quality systems recommended.
