Description:
The Sourcing Contract Specialist will be a key member of the Global Consumer Bank Sourcing team within Client's Enterprise Supply Chain organization. The successful candidate will be primarily focused on contract drafting, supplier negotiations, and contract administration activities across a wide range of potential products and services, including Banking Operations and Financial Services, Print, Cards & Distribution Services, Customer Loyalty, Rewards & Cards Benefits, and Marketing & Advertising. The individual will be required to lead cross-functional teams through the end to end contracting process, ensuring the best possible outcomes for Client relative to commercial terms and risk exposure.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
• The candidate will be responsible for managing the end to end contracting process for assigned projects, including the (i) establishment of the cross-functional project team, (ii) completion of all required third-party due diligence, (iii) drafting and negotiation of contracts, (iv) compilation and routing of contract packages for execution, and (v) ongoing administration of the contracts;
o Prepare and negotiate master services and purchase agreements, amendments, non-disclosure agreements, subcontract agreements, etc. in accordance with corporate policies and other business and industry wide requirements.
o Assure quality and timeliness of work product, and satisfaction of all internal and external client contract requirements
o Provide contract administration leadership, working with internal and external clients, to meet shifting requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
o Respond in an informed and timely fashion to questions and requests for assistance, demonstrating appropriate sense of urgency when answering internal and external client requests.
• The candidate will be required to develop a strong knowledge of Client's policies and procedures related to supplier selection, contracting and ongoing management, ensuring all requirements are met and documented throughout the end to end contracting process;
• The candidate will be responsible for educating business stakeholders on the end to end contracting process, including the establishment of project plans with clearly defined roles / responsibilities, milestones and timelines;
• The candidate will be required to proactively develop and maintain relationships with key Business stakeholders to define needs / requirements, develop action plans, and ensure business objectives are met; and
Qualification, Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
• 6+ years of experience in contract drafting/contract management
• Highly collaborative with a strong appreciation for diversity and respect for others
• Strong project management experience; effectively organize and manage multiple tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively, build relationships and influence others
• Strong business acumen and critical thinking mindset
• Above average quantitative / financial modeling skills
• Ability to effective perform in a constantly changing environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Working knowledge of the end to end sourcing process is a plus
• Previous Legal or Paralegal background is a plus
• Previous work in a Financial Institution is a plus
