TEAM
The Global Audit & Assessment (GAA) team, part of the Safety & Quality department, ensures the quality of software for safe mobility services across Woven by Toyota, Toyota Motor Corporation, and affiliates. Our mission is to deliver safe, secure, high-quality software, contributing to Toyota's evolution as a software-driven carmaker.
The GAA team sets audit and assessment standards, develops audit plans, and conducts assessments. Join our team of professionals committed to software safety and quality in the automotive industry.
You will report to the Head of the Global Audit & Assessment team and follows a hybrid schedule with 3+ days in the office.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
If you have strong analytical skills, excel at finding solutions, are detail-oriented, have a solid understanding of auditing principles, and are eager to keep learning, you'll succeed in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop an audit and assessment program aligned with product development roadmaps for each line of business.
- Manage risks in audit and assessment programs for effective delivery.
- Collaborate with lines of business to close audit findings through corrective actions.
- Coordinate resolution of post-production market issues using the PDCA cycle.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators for the GAA team.
- Track project status relevant to audit and assessment execution.
- Act as Scrum Master for global audit and assessment team sprints.
- Oversee outsourced contractors to ensure timely delivery and quality.
- Manage the global audit and assessment team budget and coordinate training programs.
- Support team-building activities and drive continuous improvement in audit methodologies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Project management certification (PMP or Prince2) or 3-5 years of project/program management experience in the automotive industry.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Computer Science, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Proficiency in Japanese (N1) and English.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, and Automotive SPICE.
- Familiarity with automotive regulations and standards (UNR155, UNR156, ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434).
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with multiple stakeholders.
NICE TO HAVES:
- At least 2 years of experience in automotive software audits and assessments.
- Certification as an automotive software quality auditor.
- Knowledge of safety-critical embedded systems
- Experience with Quality and Audit Management Systems and ISO 9001/19011.
