About the Role
As Senior Technical Writer, you’ll help create and maintain effective documentation for the tech team, especially for the various app features and products being rolled out. Additionally, you will work with the engineering leadership (including our founder and CTO, Sanjeev) at Meesho to help create the voice of engineering at Meesho. The communication content and channels would vary across social media, Meesho blogs, and any speaker engagements/events (both internal and external). Finally, you’ll also collaborate on blogs written by other engineers, helping them convert technical information into read-worthy blogs.
In this role you’ll act as a bridge between the content team and the engineering team, ensuring nothing important gets lost in translation.
What you will do
- Support in enhancing Meesho's employer branding initiatives in the tech ecosystem
- Ideate/brainstorm with leaders and identify potential talking points or blog areas
- Liaise with various tech and product stakeholders to ensure comprehensive documentation around Android and iOS releases (creation of internal and external release notes)
- Prepare content for speaker engagements or delivery of tech topics inside and outside Meesho
- Research and socialize interesting technological developments for social and print media engagements
- Fine-tune and prepare content to appeal to non-technical end-users, programmers, system administrators, designers, etc.
- Collaborate with external agencies to maintain a high standard of content for Meesho's social media platforms, blog, website, etc.
What you will need
- 4 to 6 years of overall professional technical writing experience
- Strong experience in owning an end-to-end documentation process, being able to craft multiple kinds of documentation and messaging per the requirements
- Experience working with common authoring and publishing tools such as Confluence, Jira, Github, etc.
- Proven experience in tackling and resolving challenges, including being able to handle / manage multiple stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
