The Sports Risk Monitor plays a crucial role in our sportsbook, responsible for monitoring and managing the risks associated with our betting operations. By analysing the market trends and assessing the performance of teams and athletes, the Sports Risk Monitor ensures that our odds remain competitive, maximizing profitability and improving our margins. This role requires a deep understanding of sports betting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to make informed decisions based on complex data. The Sports Risk Monitor collaborates with various teams within the organization to implement effective risk management strategies and provide recommendations for optimizing our sportsbook's performance.

Responsibilities

• Observe market movements and react accordingly.
• Make decisions on bets placed over the client’s limit.
• Monitor incoming bets and tagging.
• Manage and mitigate risks.
• Monitor betting limits.
• Keep track of market movements and news activity via feeds.
• Report betting activity to the Customer Risk Analyst Team.
• Suggest ideas and actively contribute to improving team efficiency and sportsbook profitability.
• Proactively identify non-conforming products.
• Review algorithms and markets, and provide suggestions for improvements.
• Provide analysis and reports for making improvements.
• Conduct benchmarking checks and analyze reports.

You're good at

• Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience working in a sportsbook environment.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently.
• Able and willing to adapt to constant dynamic changes.

• Familiarity with industry tools.
• Logical thinker for making decisions.
