The Role
The Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager will be responsible for managing a team of security professionals, ensuring the effective and efficient operations of physical security systems, maintaining the safety and security of our operation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing business continuity in cases of disruptions. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and implement security programs, incident response procedures, develop and update security policies and procedures and communicate with internal and external partners, as necessary. The ideal SOC Manager is a process-driven individual that has a passion for analysis, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the 24/7 Security Operations Center and help with managing the physical security systems of the organization including Video, Access Control and Alarm systems.
- Supervise and train Security Operations Center staff, maintain staff scheduling and conduct performance evaluations.
- Assist staff with centrally coordinating and supporting field response to all disruptions: security incidents, compliance issues, health & life safety events, site & infrastructure issues, and natural disasters.
- Continuously monitor the environment, analyze risk, and provide situational awareness to the organization. Performs risk assessments, team member escorts, emergency response and regular remote assessments to identify security and safety hazards and policy violations.
- Communicates incidents to employees and executive leadership, using clear and concise written and verbal communications.
- Provides operational support, maintenance management, and ticket troubleshooting for all security related systems including CCTV, access control, alarms, safes, mobile tracking technologies.
- Assist with building a robust audit program to ensure regulatory compliance and oversees its execution by Security Operations Center staff.
- Ensures Security Operations staff are coordinating all service calls for security related equipment through field response vendor network.
- Build incident management protocols and facilitate case management processes for incidents.
- Assist in developing and building a robust business continuity program and overseeing it’s execution by Security Operations Center staff.
- Partner with key business partners internally to define and implement processes and standard work for the security operations function, including security playbook development, emergency operation plans, and other business continuity plans.
- Works with the Security Operations Center staff to liaise with local law enforcement and other first responders during incidents and provide incident notification during events.
- Build a training curriculum on systems in use to provide proper guidance, training and certification for Security Operations staff.
- Work with leadership to identify and implement enhancements in Security Operations Center processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in Physical Security Systems preferred.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience; and 5+ years in a managerial role.
- Experience using CCTV and alarm monitoring software in coordination with a communications center or Security Operations Center.
- Demonstrated knowledge of security systems for access control, CCTV systems, badging systems, alarm monitoring systems, mobile surveillance systems and GPS systems.
- Experience or familiarity with corporate intelligence, military intelligence or government intelligence agencies desired but not needed.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally or in writing clearly and concisely while in stressful situations.
- Available to work all shifts and comfortable rotating through all shifts 24/7/365 and willing to assist when short staffed.
- Strong Leadership and team management experience.

Additional Requirements
- Must pass all required background checks.
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must be at a minimum 21 years of age.
- Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry.
