The Role

FL97 is actively seeking a detail-oriented Scientist – Biomolecule Production. This individual will play a pivotal role in the orchestration and execution of our biomolecule production pipelines, ensuring timely and efficient processing of both internal and external biomolecule orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight: Take primary responsibility for the synthesis, purification, and characterization of nucleic acid products, ensuring consistent quality.

Technology and Workflow Enhancement: Actively contribute to platform evolution by identifying, evaluating, and integrating novel technologies. Continuously optimize existing workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.

Scheduling: Strategically schedule and coordinate the production runs to optimize throughput and maintain the quality of deliverables.

Inventory Management: Oversee and manage the inventory of raw materials, consumables, and finished products. Ensure timely reordering to prevent disruptions.

SOP Adherence and Development: Draft, update, and ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all stages of the production process, including equipment operation and maintenance.

Data Management: Ensure meticulous recording, storage, and retrieval of production data, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity.

Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, machine learning scientists, and software developers to ensure the seamless integration of new protocols or improvements into the production pipeline.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A strong background in molecular biology, nucleotide chemistry, and associated production processes with at least 1 year working in a relevant industrial/biotechnology setting.
• Proficiency in therapeutic RNA synthesis is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in inventory management and workflow scheduling.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in drafting and following SOPs.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
