- Pull, route, and secure low-voltage cables including CAT 5/6, coaxial, and fiber optics in new construction environment.
- Install support structures, such as cable trays and conduit, for efficient cable routing.
- Install, label and test premise cabling, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware. Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
- Install LC, MTRJ, SC and RJ45 connector termination and test fiber-optic and copper cabling systems.
- Labeling of cables and associated hardware according to standards and cable run sheets.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects.
- Fusion Splice Single Strand and Ribbon Fiber.
- Test Fusion spliced fiber and ensure within customer specifications.
- Operate various types of lifts to install fiber and control wiring
- Work cohesively with the team to complete the assigned objectives
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working at heights
- Previous experience in structured cabling and telecommunications installation is a plus but not required. We welcome candidates at all skill levels.
- Must have basic copper termination skills
- Knowledge of universal color codes for cable identification and labeling.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as EIA, TIA, BICSI, or NEC is not required, but preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with Fujikura 90S+ fusion splicer and Fujikura 90R fusion splicer
- Familiar with Fluke Versiv Testing equipment
- Can Fusion Splice Single Strand and Ribbon Fiber – i.e. OS2, OM3, OM4, OM5
- Can splice on Fiber connectors and Fiber pigtails
