About the Role
Smarsh is seeking a Sr. Director of Technical Product Management to lead the vision for the Smarsh Foundation, which represents reusable product services that are domain-centric and can be composed to create external offerings.
The Smarsh Foundation is made up of 8-9 products which are essential platform components with their own unit economics and used by 3 market facing products of Smarsh. The Smarsh Foundation operates at the scale of Petabytes of data under management, hundreds of billions of communications processed, and tens of Terabytes of data ingested every single day. The Foundation includes end-to-end products such as the Index, Data Store, Ingestion, Enrichment Engine, Machine Learning, and other services that, when composed together, create compelling Smarsh market offerings. These products utilize technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Foundational Large Language Models, Amazon S3, NoSQL Databases, Kafka, Kubernetes, on-premises data stores and compute, serverless architectures, vector databases, and traditional machine learning.
As a product leader in this group, you will drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap. Strong judgment and communication skills, long term technical vision, and continuous focus on product, engineering and operational excellence are essential for success in this role. Operational excellence includes managing the unit economics of these products, with a goal of driving business value at the lowest possible unit price. A successful candidate will be both creative and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that internal and external customers will enjoy using.
