About this role
The Director of SEO & Digital Experience will be responsible for defining and implementing a holistic SEO and digital experience strategy to reach and engage with our global customer base. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional partners across PDE, Marketing, and Research to scope, prioritize, and execute the initiatives that will drive organic traffic, increase brand visibility, and boost conversions for Udemy through highly relevant user experiences for both our consumer and enterprise customers. You will lean on your analytical, technical, and leadership skills to lead a talented team of marketers to execute our roadmap and drive growth for the business.
What you'll be doing
- Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO and digital experience strategy, guided by data insights and a deep understanding of our customers to address the needs of both B2B and consumer buyers cohesively, while supporting Udemy’s growth.
- Define the key areas of optimization for our organic traffic approach, and set targets that align with our business goals.
- Collaborate with and influence the Product, Design, and Engineering teams on experimentation ideas and partner on conversion and growth strategies.
- Maintain Udemy's Core Web Vitals and Technical SEO best practices to ensure proper discoverability of the site.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on progress toward improving search rankings and address how we’re evolving in a no-click landscape.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and leverage this knowledge to drive strategic initiatives.
- Build the skills of your team, empower them to act as owners, and ensure they have a seat at the table
What you’ll have
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital strategy, SEO, digital marketing, product management, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing and website optimization principles and best practices.
- Deep knowledge of B2B and Consumer marketing and sales funnel metrics, as well as demand generation best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
- Team player and servant leader who eagerly rallies others around a mission and leads them to a successful outcome.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Proven track record of running successful strategic and tactical projects across website development, inbound content marketing, social media, email, SEO, and analytics.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits, equity and a bonus.
