We are looking for a Residential Installation Technician who will install our state-of-the-art home security solutions to residential and commercial customers. This individual will assess the customer’s need and sell additional products and services. Responsibilities
- Responsible for installation of security systems for residential and commercial customers
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service and establish relationship with customer by ensuring that you provide the best customer care while in the home
- Review and prepare each job according to specifications and customer needs
- Contact customer prior to date of scheduled installation to verify schedule
- Ability to understand and apply codes, rules, standards, and requirements to meet specifications
- Ability to meet company performance standards for productivity, quality, and safety and security enhancements
- Follow proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures
- Test operation of system to the signal receiving center to properly establish service
- Instruct customer how to use equipment and replace or repair defective parts, if needed
- Process paperwork and make sure it’s sent to the proper department for billing purposes
- Accurately maintain inventory and stock levels
- Train new installers on all aspects of installation process
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Follow safety standards and reports safety concerns in a timely manner
- Experience with construction, cable installation, and low voltage experience preferred
- Collect required payment, balances, and signatures from customers in an accurate and timely manner
- Must maintain a high level of product knowledge, including, but not limited to current product features and specifications, current corporate promotions, pricing, and discounts
- Must be able to maintain a professional presence and represent the company favorably
- Must be able to understand and embrace the company core values, corporate goals, mission, vision and priorities as set forth by Management, and be able to continually seek ways to meet or exceed goals and fulfill priorities
