Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure Solution Architect

Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are looking for a detail-oriented IT Infrastructure Solution Architect to assist in core enterprise operations and buildout of our organizations technology systems in our LNG plants. The IT Infrastructure Solution Architect responsibilities include working with different verticals within the IT infrastructure and operations organization on the current IT infrastructure, optimizing cloud, on premise and SaaS implementations. This position will be a main contributor on the future direction and approach for our infrastructure hardware platforms, disaster recovery components, back-office applications, and associated policies and procedures as we continue to mature the organization. The IT Infrastructure Solution Architect is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, and communicating, overall enterprise and LNG plant architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately provide the business with appropriate fit to purpose IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical, analytical, communication, leadership, and project management skills. Also, knowledge and experience with the following plant technology systems ( PAGA, CCTV and ACS ) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide continuous improvements to IT Infrastructure internal functions, strategies, and processes to maintain a performant, secure and redundant IT Infrastructure.
• Ability to create system architecture models and maintain or re-factor existing system architectures to reflect the organization's business vision and goals.
• Provide recommendations based on detailed analysis for future purchases of IT hardware and software to optimize the companies’ investments in the IT Infrastructure and Operations business functions.
• Recommend options to reduce or maintain costs in IT Infrastructure hardware and software.
• Develop and organize training to improve infrastructure architecture team knowledge and skills for future organizational growth.
• Develop and influence build versus buy IT infrastructure strategies based on detailed analysis and domain knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field
• 5 years’ experience in system architectures for cloud, on premise and SaaS domains.
• Excellent architecture modeling and documentation skills
• Proficient in two of the following domains with demonstrated accomplishments (networking, data and analytics, virtualization, storage, backup and disaster recovery)
• Demonstrated technical analytical and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
