Job Summary
The ServiceNow Developer plays a key part in configuring, customizing, and extending the ServiceNow platform to meet the ever-evolving needs of our business. You will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their challenges and develop innovative solutions that streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Design, develop, and implement custom applications and workflows on the ServiceNow platform.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure solutions align with business needs.
- Configure and customize existing ServiceNow modules to optimize functionality.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party applications to create a unified IT ecosystem.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, secure, and well-documented code.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure the functionality and performance of ServiceNow applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the ServiceNow platform. Perform upkeep on existing solutions (e.g. business rules, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, workflows, dashboard & reporting, data imports, service catalog development, etc.)
- Stay up to date on the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities.
- Provide training and support to end-users on ServiceNow applications.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow developer (minimum 5 years)
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including ServiceNow Development Studio and scripting languages (GlideScript, UI Script)
- Experience with ServiceNow modules (e.g., Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management)
- Experience with Service Catalog
- Experience with web development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Integration Hub
- Rest API
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest ServiceNow advancements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with other ServiceNow modules such as Customer Experience, ITOM, CMDB, Security Operations, Customer Service Management
- ITIL v3/v4 certification
- Certified ServiceNow Administrator
