Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

This job is located in Everett, WA

As an RN in the ER, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients in need of immediate medical attention. Your expertise in emergency nursing will contribute to the prompt and effective treatment of our ER patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct rapid assessments of patients presenting to the ER, identifying and prioritizing their medical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians, promptly addressing life-threatening conditions.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, closely observing for any changes or deterioration.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for ER patients.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate interventions, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when necessary.
• Coordinate patient transfers to higher levels of care, ensuring seamless continuity of treatment.
• Document all patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a safe and organized environment in the ER, following infection control protocols and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Previous experience in emergency nursing or critical care is preferred.
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications are required.
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to make quick and informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with patients, families, and colleagues in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to unpredictable and fast-paced situations.
• Proficient in handling emergency medical equipment and technologies.
