We’re looking for a detail-obsessed, highly organized and diligent Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role involves collaborating with the People and Finance teams to manage full-cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple entities within the Mogo Group of Companies. This is a remote position within Canada only.

What you'll do:
- Process full-cycle bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees (current team members in Canada, US & UK)
- Administer ad hoc payroll runs, prepare calculations for manual cheques, EFT’s and wire transfers
- Process and submit ROE’s
- Be a champion of change and make recommendations to evolve/streamline processes and procedures that support our business growth
- Perform calculations and run pay changes/adjustments
- Input employee information into our payroll systems and maintain accurate records
- Prepare calculations for remittances such as EHT, WCB, benefits premiums etc.
- Carry out year end payroll procedures including preparing T4’s, US W2s, UK P11ds and other required statutory filings
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
- Prepare journal entries for payroll
- Administer benefits enrollment, changes and terminations (Canada and US)
- Respond to and provide guidance on general Payroll related inquiries (benefits, policies, time off etc.)
What you'll need:
- 2-3 years of full-cycle payroll experience, preferably with multi-province experience and bonus points if you’ve worked at a tech company!
- Working-level knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations and guidelines, experience with US and UK is an advantage
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce high quality and accurate work
- Strong sense of deadlines and ownership of work
- Tech savvy and comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and payroll software (we use Rise and ADP)
- High sense of urgency and able to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Able to handle confidential information and delicate situations with discretion and sensitivity
The base salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000.
